Dr Stuart Garrow

Dr Garrow is a widely experienced community physician with a career spanning over 40 years.

Graduating from Melbourne University, he worked in the UK before starting in a remote rural practice in the Kimberley region in WA, where he worked in hospital and general practice. He was a GP and medical director of the Broome Aboriginal Medical Service for 10 years and Director of the Kimberley Public Health Unit for 5 years.

In recent years, he established a General Practice in a Melbourne community health centre and continues to work part time at Sandringham Hospital. He has been a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine, has a Masters of Public Health and holds diplomas in Obstetrics and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice.

Dr Garrow has published journal articles in infectious diseases, motor vehicle crashes and sexual health and a book about the Kimberley regions massive tides.
